LaVonne Kathryn Kloet

LaVonne Kathryn Dykstra Kloet went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 26, 2025. She died peacefully at her home. LaVonne was born in Valley Springs, Minnesota on June 9, 1935. She was the adopted daughter of Frank and Kathryn Dykstra, her grandparents. LaVonne attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids Michigan where she met her lifetime love, Alvin R. Kloet. They were married on September 4, 1953. After college they moved to Madison, WI where Al (or "Bud" as she often called him) attended law school at U.W.M. Here they welcomed their first son Jeff. Shortley after college they relocated to Sheboygan, WI where Al worked hard at his private practice. Here is where they welcomed their second son Christopher. LaVonne was a loving wife and cherished her two sons. In her spare time, she would work in her yard tending to her beautiful flowers. She had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing her piano and still found time to volunteer with various organizations in and around Sheboygan. LaVonne and Al dearly loved their many close friends and took pride in hosting several gatherings where they shared many laughs and made beautiful memories. LaVonne was preceded in death by her grandparents and a sister. LaVonne is survived by her husband of 72 years Alvin Kloet of Henderson, KY; sons Jeff Kloet and his wife Candy of Henderson, KY and Christopher Kloet and his wife Debbie of Glenview, IL; her only granddaughter Sari, whom she loved dearly; as well as her god daughter Heidi Graf. Relatives and friends are invited to LaVonne's Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with Reverend Eric Hoey officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
