Lawrence Culliver Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barnhart Funeral Home on Jan. 8, 2026.
Lawrence W. Culliver, 84, of N. Versailles, died Thursday, January 1, 2026. He was born November 4, 1941, in Trafford, a son of the late James and Margaret Bibb Culliver. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the Army, where he provided the best life he could for his family. He was a member of Word of Life Church, where he accepted the Lord as his Personal Savior and was baptized, knowing this world was not his home and he was just passing through.

He spent his time talking to his children and watching the Alabama and Steelers play. He was loved by all and spent the last 20 years loving on his children and talking about fishing and sports. He was always ready to splice some cords while talking about the good ole days. He was received in the arms of Jesus, due to a brief illness, while surrounded by someone who loved him always. His memory will forever remain in the few people who loved him the best.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by the mother of his sons, Mary Haynes Culliver; the mother of his stepdaughters, Elsie Gantt Culliver; two brothers; and five sisters. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Loudjina Guillaume; four sons, Eric (Brittany) Culliver, Lawrence Culliver, Adrian (Tai) Culliver, and Micheal Culliver; seven stepdaughters; six grandchildren, Zay, Mya, Kya, Nate, Shon, and Ira; two sisters, Ada Maloy of Verona, and Sarah Crittenden of Verona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no public visitation. Graveside service with interment and full military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
