Jeffrey Tomko Obituary

Jeffrey M. Tomko, 56, of Irwin, died unexpectedly on Feb. 11, 2026, at home. He was born May 27, 1969, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Raymond and Audrey Fenich Tomko. Jeffrey was a member of St. Edward Parish in Herminie. He was a graduate of Hempfield Area High School Class of 1987. Following high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Washington and Jefferson College. He continued his education, earning dual degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and his MBA from Duquesne University. He later fulfilled his career as a chemist, specializing in research and product management for several companies. Jeffrey had many hobbies, including trout fishing, car restoration, attending car shows, and walking. He enjoyed socializing with his neighbors and had a love for animals, in particular dogs. One of his favorite pastimes was watching reruns of Seinfeld and classic TV shows from the '70s and the '80s. He is survived by two sisters, Laura Tomko and Amy Greenwood (husband, Paul), both of Texas; his aunt, Sandy and his aunt Karen; and several cousins. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, at which time a memorial service will be held.
