Lawrence R. Dean Sr., age 76, of Blades, Delaware, passed away peacefully at his home on January 27, 2026, with his loving wife by his side.

Lawrence proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. A lifelong supporter of fellow veterans, he was a member of American Legion Nanticoke Post 6, where he served as Finance Officer for 14 years.

He was a Life Member of Harley-Davidson and proudly served as Activities Officer and Road Captain. Lawrence valued camaraderie, service, and the open road.

Lawrence had a larger-than-life personality and boundless energy that filled every room he entered. He was "The Show." An avid NASCAR fan and the biggest Richard Petty supporter, he also had a lifelong love of classic cars. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed watching television and traveling, especially when time was spent with family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Dean; daughter, Stacey Dean; granddaughters, Hayden and Hayley Balback; daughter, Veronica Bowman (Jonathan) and granddaughters, Willow and Penelope Bowman; son, Lawrence R. Dean Jr. (Lona) and granddaughter, Dakota Dean; brothers, Bill Dean (Peggy), Frank Dean (Linda), and John Ray Dean (Linda); sister, Cathy (John); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William O. Dean and Carrie Lucille Billings Dean; and his sister, Belinda Louise Kennedy Dulois.
