L.P., a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, died at his home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He was born in Newark, Ohio on April 17, 1958, to the late Donald E. and Joan E. (Henderson) Fox.
A 1977 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, L.P. was as an operator working for the family business, Fox Coal Company. He enjoyed race cars and was an avid fisherman, a love he shared with his grandchildren. In addition, he took great pride in supporting the many sporting events of his children and grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Jenette (Rusty) Redman and Valerie (Justin) Woodyard; grandchildren, Logan Gosnell, Alexa Gosnell, and Jase Redman; brother, Robert "Hoss" (Leanne) Fox; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Fox; nephews, Christopher Fox and Jordan Fox; and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, L.P. was preceded in death by his brother, Richard "Itsy" Fox; infant sister, Mary Margaret Fox; and nephew, Jarod R. Fox.
Calling will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Tuesday, January 7, 2025, with a Vigil Service held at 6:30 P.M.
The family requests memorials in L.P.'s name be made to the Newark Catholic High School Athletic Association, 1 Green Wave Drive, Newark, Ohio 43055.

I can´t believe that LP is gone. It shocked me when I saw his obit online. The whole family and I all grew up together as we were neighbors in the neighborhood. I always enjoyed playing with the Fox boys when we were kids. It´s such a huge loss for me to see another friend from my younger years pass. To his family, I´m so sorry for your loss. You´re in Gods hands and he will help you all get through this tuff time.
