Lawrence Gallimore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeBaptiste Funeral Homes, Inc. - West Chester on Mar. 4, 2025.
Lawrence Gallimore known as Ecky to family and friends was born December 18, 1947 in West Chester, PA to the late Eunice Melton Gallimore and Herman Gallimore.
Although born with disabilities and Cerebral Palsy he never let that stop him. He worked for Kencrest company for 20 years doing assembly. He also worked at Handicrafters. He really enjoyed working.
Lawrence loved all kinds of music, going to concerts and going to camp for 2 weeks in the summer. He also enjoyed going to dinner with friends and his favorite thing was going to visit family for the holiday and cookouts. He loved going to the bank to cash his checks and always told the teller he wanted all $5.00 bills. I still don't know why.
Lawrence was very intuitive about people not feeling well or having a difficult time and always reached out to comfort them. He loved and cherished his family and friends dearly. He would light up a room and your heart with his beautiful smile.
Lawrence did some schooling at Pennhurst. He was currently being taken care of by Ken Crest and they did an amazing job. The staff and residents all loved him. He was known as the King of Pothouse! Larry loved children and was a social butterfly.
He is preceded in death by Mother, Father, Sister Deborah Gallimore Mayo and brother Marvin "Skip" Gallimore
Lawrence is survived by sisters Cheryl Dilts(Steve) and Doris Ebo. Brothers Michael Sr(Denise) and Stanford Sr (Brenda) and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and friends.
