Mr. Lawrence R. Koebbe, Jr., age 90, of Warren, passed away, Sat., Feb. 4, 2023, at Ascension Macomb-Oakland, Madison Heights.
He was born Nov. 7, 1932, in Capac, son of the late Lawrence, Sr. and Marie (Schultz) Koebbe. Larry served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Shirley Moon, in Detroit, June 15, 1957. He worked as an electrician, for various companies as a member of Local 58, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, which he retired from after working for over 50 years. He was a member of the Warren Lions Club, American Legion, the Masons, the VFW and enjoyed deer hunting, square dancing for a while with Shirley and trailer camping.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years, Shirley, children, Lawrence R. (Karen) Koebbe, III of Eastpointe and Lori Koebbe of Roseville, grandchildren, Lawrence R. (Candice) Koebbe, IV, Samantha (Brett) Boutin and Rebecca (Fiance Tyler) Koebbe and 7 great grandchildren, two sisters, Sandra (the late Leon) Karash and Marilyn (the late Larry) Abel and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Lorraine, Arlene, Eleanor and Donna.
Visitation will be Tues., Feb. 7, 2023 from 3 until 6 PM at Ford Funeral Home, 26560 VanDyke Ave., Centerline, MI. Funeral service 6 PM followed by an honor service by members of the U. S. Army.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be given to Leaders Dogs for the Blind, Rochester Hills or Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Taylor.
