Lawrence “Larry” Bachhofer, Prague resident, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 in Prague, at the age of 94. Larry was born on January 6, 1930 in Ringling, OK to Henry Wesley and Thelma Hazel (Gear) Bachhofer. He proudly served in the United States Army, Army National Guard and Reserves. He later worked as a stockman at General Motors. Larry married Elaine R. Patzack on December 24, 1969.

Larry grew up on a farm and continued his love of farm work and farm life throughout his years. He grew and picked cotton, milked cows and a multitude of tasks farm life entails. He loved all things outdoors to include working with the tractors and brush hogging. Larry also took great joy in his airplanes and his love of flying. He is remembered for treating all children as his own. 

Larry is survived by his brother, Gary Bachhofer of Marietta, OK; two sisters, Zenobia Logan of Paden and Joyce Glasgow of Guthrie; nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Thelma Bachhofer; wife, Elaine Bachhofer; brothers, Carl Bachhofer, Lyndel Bachhofer, Dale Bachhofer, Don Bachhofer, Glenn Bachhofer and infant brother, Paul Wesley Bachhofer and sisters, Bernice Moses and Ada Kay Bachhofer.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Dustin Bachhofer, Rusty Gear, Brett Fesler, Shawn Logan, Craig Gear and William Winegeart.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Paden, OK with Pastor Terry Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden, OK.
