Obituary published on Legacy.com by Costantino-Primo Funeral Home on Apr. 26, 2024.
Lawrence Milton, known affectionately as Larry, "Pops", and "Hunbun," was born on February 12, 1947, in
Camden, New Jersey. He departed from this world on April 25, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Larry was a proud husband to his high school sweetheart, Pat Milton, for 58 remarkable years. Larry honorably served his country in the US Army at a young age and was mobilized into the Vietnam War. Upon his return, Larry worked in various leadership roles, including "Plant Manager" at Campbell's Soup and later at a juice manufacturing company where he played a significant role in modernizing children's juice boxes. Eventually, he established and successfully operated his cleaning business, "Dri-Masters Inc." until his well-deserved retirement.
A man of diverse interests, Larry found joy in spending time with his family, moonlighting as a professional bowler, playing pinochle, and delving into the depths of ancient African history. He had a passion for jazz music and cherished moments spent listening to his favorite tunes.
Larry was a traveler, exploring destinations far and wide, from the Ancient Mayan Ruins in Mexico to the Sahara Desert in Egypt. He witnessed historic sports victories, including two Philadelphia Phillies World Series wins (1980, 2008) and the Philadelphia Eagles' memorable Super Bowl victory in 2018, always surrounded by his beloved family.
He was a pillar of strength and kindness, welcoming everyone with open arms. Larry's leadership extended beyond the battlefield and the workplace; he was a leader in his community and a devoted family man. He will be remembered as a true gentleman, always calm, and ever approachable.
Larry, co-founder of the non-profit "For His Glory," dedicated his life to serving others. Alongside his wife Pat, he provided invaluable support to the community by offering free meals and groceries through their organization. Larry's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and the generosity he shared with all.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Pat Milton; his devoted children, Miko Pickett and Jamal Milton; his cherished grandchildren (7), great-grandchildren(6), brothers (3), sisters (2), and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00am at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. White Horse Pike,
Berlin, NJ 08009. Funeral Service with Military Honors will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will take place privately.
