Lawrence Palermo passed away on December 30, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born in Modesto, California and spent many years of his childhood in San Francisco. While stationed at Fort Lewis Army Base he met and wed the love of his life his, Sally (Petranovich). In his career as master meat cutter, he was a mentor to many in the industry. He was an avid fisherman, baseball enthusiast and greatly loved volunteering through the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Sally, daughter Laurie (Randal), son Joseph, son Nicholas (Joann), daughter Gina and son Matthew (Amber), his 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Anthony, his parents Joseph and Josephine and his sister Anna Mae, sister Joanne and brother Ronald.
The rosary will be prayed at 10:15 am on Monday, January 16th, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Tacoma, WA. Following the rosary, the funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Please then join the family for a reception in the church hall. Calvary Cemetery will be the final resting place of our beloved Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Charles Borromeo Building Fund.
