He was born April 26, 1940 in Latrobe, PA, the son of the late Melvin A. and Virginia (Jones) Sauers.
Prior to retirement Larry had worked for West Penn Power as a Lineman. He was an US Marine Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his wife in 2013 Mary G. (Boring) Sauers and two brothers Fred and Thomas Sauers.
Larry is survived one son Michael Sauers of Derry; one sister Carole Schall of Derry; one grandson Jake Sauers; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements with the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA
Funeral service will be private for the family.
