Lawrence H. "Larry" Sheehan, affectionately known as "Larry" or "Butch," passed away peacefully at his home in Katy, Texas, on November 23, 2025. He was born on September 3, 1949, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Larry grew up in Cambridge and spent many dedicated years working as a couch operator. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Elizabeth Sheehan; his children, Sandra, Kelly, and Kyle; and his adopted son, Johnny, who held a very special place in his heart. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Trina and Gary; his sisters, Barbara, Patricia, Carol, and Marie; and his brothers, Joseph and Ed.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Myrtle; his sisters, Francis and Ethel; his brothers, Paul and Jim; and his in-laws, including his sister-in-law Linda and his brothers-in-law.
In retirement, Larry enjoyed researching topics that interested him, watching his favorite shows, and doing puzzles. He especially loved spending time with family and friends and could always be counted on for a lively game of canasta or dominoes. His loved ones find comfort in imagining him playing canasta in heaven with family who went before him.
Larry also had a passion for driving and never turned down a good road trip-especially to Florida. He cherished his cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean with his wife, brother Joseph, nephew Tim, and sister-in-law Linda.
Larry will be remembered for his warm heart, sense of humor, and unwavering integrity. His presence brought light to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Honoring his wishes, Larry will be cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
