Floyd was born in Swainsboro GA to the late Lawrence Lee and Mattie Farthing Sherrod and was a resident of Hephzibah GA until moving to Waynesboro in 2022. He grew up on the family farm in Midville GA, where he found enjoyment in operating his tractors and heavy equipment. Floyd was a loving, loyal, and dedicated husband, father, and papa. He loved and cherished his family and always looked forward to times they spent together. Floyd was known as a hard worker but when time allowed, he enjoyed dancing, golfing, cooking, fishing, RVing with his wife, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog supporter.
