It is with sadness that we announce that Lawrence Steen, 85, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. Always hopeful, he loved life, travelling and being with his family. He was known for his kindness and unwavering integrity.

Born in Illinois he grew up and lived in the Midwest until moving to Yardley. An avid HO model railroader from age 5, he was past president of the Abington Lines Model Railroad Club. He was a past treasurer of Rotary and a member of Kiwanis both the Washington Crossing-Yardley Clubs. He received his degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University where he met the love of his life.

Following graduation, he enlisted in the Army serving in the Army Security Agency in Germany. His wife, Marilyn, joined him where they began their 63 year marriage. After leaving the Army he worked in management for several manufacturing companies. Following retirement, he worked as a real estate agent primarily for Long and Foster.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Whitney, and his brother Tracy.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his son Charles and his wife Sarah, and 4 grandchildren, Kyle, Lia, Hudson and Davis.

Interment at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery will be held privately for the family. Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com.
