In loving memory of Lawrence Valdez Sr.
Lawrence Valdez Sr., 72 of Hobbs, passed away February 10, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Valdez was born June 22, 1951, to Abraham and Pauline Valdez in Dalhart Texas. Lawrence is survived by his three children: Lawrence (Rick) Valdez Jr. and wife Wendy, Christopher Valdez and wife Maygen, and Theresa Valdez. His sister, Marie Dallas, and partner Danny. Nine grandkids, four great-grandkids, and one great-great grandkid.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents Abraham and Pauline Valdez.
In his life, Lawrence had a passion for the outdoors. He found Solace in hunting and fishing. His adventurous spirit and love for these activities brought joy to him, and he shared many cherished moments with family and friends in the great outdoors. He loved his time at the casinos, whether he won or lost, he always enjoyed being able to visit his friends there. He loved watching and cheering for his favorite football team the Washington Redskins. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though Lawrence may no longer be with us in body, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. May his memory be a source of comfort and strength during this difficult time.
