Christopher Jaco passed away on September 12, 2025, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Chris was born on October 13, 1979, to Claude and Pat Jaco in Clovis, New Mexico. He was a 1998 graduate from Hobbs High School. He attended San Juan Community College in Farmington, New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. Chris is survived by his parents, his fiancé Heather Carr and their children: Madison Jaco of Lubbock, Texas, Ewan Jaco, Tanner Carr and Taylee Carr all of Hobbs, his sister Samantha (Heath) Bratcher, and brother Andrew (Destiny) Jaco all of Lubbock, TX. He is also survived by a large extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, especially Logan who called him uncle Scar. He will be missed by a large, diverse group of friends - made from his early years in soccer and through 20 plus years in the oilfields. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Eula (Me-me), Bryan Baumgardner, grandparents Marion and Marty (Mawmaw) Lakins, and Mack and Peggy (Munner) Gough.
The service will be held in the Fellowship Building on Cain Street, across from the main entrance.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the HHS Wrestling Team, Drama Club or charity of your choice.
