Lawrence (Larry) Kenneth Worgull passed away peacefully at his home in
Menomonee Falls, WI, on January 2, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on August 26, 1951, in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was 74 years old.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gayle, with whom he shared 43 years together and 29 years of marriage. Larry was a devoted father figure to Scott (Sharice), Jason (Tracy), and Nick (Hannah), whom he loved and raised as his own. He was a proud papa to Kait (Cory), Dylan (father to Larry's great-grandson Ryker), Noah, Bella, Bentley, and Mia. He is also survived by his siblings Ron (Donna), Karen (Patrick), and Carol (Bill), along with many nieces and nephews. Larry was fortunate to have countless lifelong friends, too many to be named, who became an extended family to him over the years.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margaret Worgull.
Family was at the center of Larry's life. He loved hosting get-togethers and making sure everyone around him was having a good time. He was also a devoted caretaker to his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He found great satisfaction in cooking, yardwork, gambling trips, and collecting antiques.
A true jack of all trades, Larry had a deep passion for building and carpentry and took great pride in creating things with his hands and learning new skills. Over the years, he held many occupations and always kept busy, including starting a remodeling business, JSL Contractors, remodeling basements as well as working as a custodian for Menomonee Falls High School, and cooking a few nights a week at the Belly Up Bar. Everything he did was for the benefit of his family. No matter the job, Larry was dependable, resourceful, and always willing to step in to fix, build, or improve whatever needed attention.
Above all, Larry was known for teaching life lessons rooted in grit, responsibility, and unconditional love. His guidance, presence, and steady care left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He truly cared for those he loved and would help anyone in need in any way possible.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. VJ and Kathleen, of Froedtert's Advanced Heart Failure team, and nurse Annette, with Brighton Hospice, for their exceptional care, compassion, and dedication to Larry. They meant more to the family than words can express.
In accordance with Larry's wishes, no formal service will be held. A celebration of life gathering will be planned later this year.
