Loreauville, LA – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Lawrence Joseph Zacharie, 65, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (120 Daigre Street) with Fr. Paul Onuegbe Celebrant, officiating.
He will await the resurrection in All Saints Cemetery (9502 Harold Landry Road) in Loreauville, LA.
Visitation hours will be observed at Fletcher Funeral Home on Saturday, November 26, 2022, beginning at 8:00 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M.
Masks are required to attend the service.
Mr. Lawrence Joseph Zacharie was a resident of New Iberia, LA and native of Loreauville, LA. He transitioned at 3:23 A.M. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA.
Mr. Zacharie was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Loreauville, LA.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife: Mrs. Sandra Knatt Zacharie of New Iberia, LA; one son: Michael Joseph Zacharie (Brittany) of New Iberia, LA; two daughters: Raven Zacharie Stewart (Ellis) of Loreauville, LA, and Tayllor Marie Zacharie (Gyron Hill) of Scott, LA; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his father: Lawrence Zacharie, Sr. of Loreauville, LA; six brothers: Kenneth Zacharie, Sr. (Brigid) of Cade, LA, John F. Zacharie (Debra) of Saint Martinville, LA, Kevin Zacharie (Celena) of Atlanta, GA, Troy Zacharie of New Orleans, LA, Christopher Zacharie (Chamona) of Beaumont, TX, and Eric Zacharie of Loreauville, LA; five sisters: Cynthia Zacharie, Sylvia Boutte, and Cassandra Zacharie all of Loreauville, LA, Laura Ann Carter (Chris) of New Iberia, LA, and Wynne Cluse (John) of Lafayette, LA; five godchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Willie Mae Thomas Zacharie; one brother: Michael Zacharie; one sister: Mary Denise Zacharie; paternal grandparents: Goldman Zacharie, Sr., and Mary Zacharie; maternal grandparents: Willie Thomas and Nursery Thomas; special son: Cassidy Leblanc; one grandson: Braden Zacharie; great-niece: Harper Macie Zacharie.
Active pallbearers are Kenneth Zacharie, Christopher Zacharie, Eric Zacharie, Christopher Carter, Julius Knatt, and Craig Knatt.
