James Zacharie Jr.

James Harold Zacharie Jr., a native of New Orleans, LA and longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, peacefully transitioned from this life on September 30, 2022, at the age of 74. James is survived by his wife Arleen Zacharie, children: Quenell Zacharie Douglas (Rene'), Zina Zacharie (Thomas), Zzyrias Zacharie and Zyzrell Zacharie. Also survived by his siblings: Carolyn Boutte (Peter Clyde) and Rev. Michael Zacharie (Mary) a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents James Zacharie, Sr. and Carrie Mae Zacharie, beloved son Derrel Zacharie, siblings: Rev. Billy, Robbin, Ronald, and Claudia Zacharie. Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, October 27, 2022, for 11:00 a.m. at Gentilly Baptist Church, 5141 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Michael Zacharie, officiating. Interment will take place on Friday October 28, 2022, for 9 a.m. at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, LA 70460.
