On July 11, 2023, Lazaro Cabrera, 88, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away at home with his wife Carmelina (Tete) Cabrera. He had been battling Dementia. Lazaro is survived by two sons, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lazaro Cabrera was born on December 14, 1934, in Havana. In December 1960, Lazaro married Carmelina in their family home. Six years later, they were forced to leave Cuba for the United States with their two sons, Jose and Lazaro Jr. They settled in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and made it their new home.
Lazaro displayed unwavering adoration and encouragement toward his family, exemplifying genuine bravery and ingenuity. His affection and attentiveness towards us were unmistakably apparent. He shall forever occupy a unique and cherished spot within our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at TM Ralph Funeral Homes in Plantation, FL, on July 19, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

El 11 de julio de 2023, Lázaro Cabrera, de 88 años, de Fort Lauderdale, FL, falleció en su casa con su esposa Carmelina (Tete) Cabrera. Él había estado luchando contra la demencia. A Lázaro le sobreviven dos hijos, cinco nietos, cinco bisnietos, dos hermanas, sobrinas, sobrinos y amigos.
Lázaro Cabrera nació el 14 de diciembre de 1934 en La Habana. En diciembre de 1960, Lázaro se casó con Carmelina en la casa de su familia. Seis años más tarde, se vieron obligados a salir de Cuba hacia los Estados Unidos con sus dos hijos, José y Lázaro Jr. Se establecieron en Fort Lauderdale, FL, y lo convirtieron en su nuevo hogar.
