Leadette C. Thomas

Leadette Thomas, 98 of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Friday, December 26, 2025 at Marion General Hospital in Columbia, MS. She was born Thursday, October 27, 1927 in Walthall County, MS to the late Jesse Crain and Georgia Tynes Crain. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her 7 siblings, husband Dannie Thomas; grandsons, Corey Devin Thomas and Rickey Barrett, and daughter-in-law, Juanette Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Carson Springs Baptist Church, 10 Thad Road, Sandy Hook, MS from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the Carson Springs Church Cemetery. Rev. Archie Herrin and Rev. Bo Walker will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-876-3712

Mrs. Thomas was a faithful Christian and engaged member of Carson Springs Baptist Church, were she contributed her time and talents as a Sunday school teacher and choir singer. She was devoted to her family, serving as loving wife, mother, and grandmother. With Dannie, her husband of 64 years, she enjoyed fishing trips and traveling to the Smokey Mountains.

Survivors include her sons, Bryan Thomas, Danny Thomas (Diana), and Kelvin Thomas (Mary); daughters, Beverly Barrett (Dr. John Barrett) and Regina Martinez (Billy); 9 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Heath Thomas, Keith Holmes, Taylor Barrett, Andrew Hinton, Jody Smith, and Orrin Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Barrett, John Fortenberry, and Hal Thomas.
