Lectica Gray, 51 of Lubbock Texas passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1 pm at St. John Baptist Church. Private Disposition will follow under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Lectica was born on August 8, 1974. She was a beloved mother to two sons, Antwan Gray and Elijah Doss of Lubbock, TX. She will be leaving a void that is not able to be filled.
She was born in Lubbock Texas to Charles Patterson (deceased) and Vickie Gray. Her school age years she attended Lubbock ISD. After that she was employed at IHOP and the Lubbock State School for many years.
Lectica was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren. They were your pride and joy. She always said they changed her life for the better and they felt the love she provided. She was a very determined person and very persistent when she was given a task. She loved to give people manicures and pamper them. She was a member at Hope Deliverance and St. John Baptist Church in Lubbock, TX and she left Lubbock she attended Storehouse Ministry and Hedges and Highways in Fort Worth Texas.
Lectica was proceded in death by: Father: Charles Patterson, Grand Father: Dewitt Patterson, Grand Mother: Rosie Patterson, Bonus Grand Father: Jessie Miller and Sister: Sylvia Jackson. And is survived by: Former Husband: Mark Doss, Sons: Antwan Gray, Elijah Doss, Sister: Pre’sious Simpson, Grand Children: Antwan, Jr., Leri, Jazaviane, Ashant, Aayden, Bria, Fantasi, Future, Jeremiah. Niece: Crystal Robinson and Nephew: Christopher Robinson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
