Lee Beavin Obituary

Middlesex, VT

Lee R. Beavin of Middlesex passed away peacefully February 28, 2026 at the age of 72 after a long courageous battle with Parkinsons with his family by his side. Lee was born in Rutland, VT to Mary Wheeler Beavin and Alfred Beavin.

While attending U-32 Lee had met his high school sweetheart Kathie Lamell to which they later married in 1974. After graduating in 1972, he later attended Castleton University and Vermont Technical College. His talent for woodworking, building, creating and improving things for people gave him great pride. This knowledge was known by many from his long career working for Grossman's and Poulin Lumber.

Lee had a special place in his heart for places he could enjoy with his family. Perch Pond, Thunder Road and the Vermont Mountaineers are among many. Being with family and friends also brought much joy.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Kathie Lamell Beavin, his Son Timothy Beavin and wife Peggy. His grandchildren Forest Tyler and partner Silas, Nicholas Beavin and fiancée Jordan, the predeceased Benjamin Beavin and partner at the time Alaina whom Lee considered as an honorary Grandchild and their mother Sheila Beavin. Lee's siblings Daniel Beavin and wife Raeesa, Joe Beavin, Barbara Moore. His in-laws Gary Lamell and wife Elaine, Jerri Hoffman and husband Lew, The predeceased Steven Lamell, Donna Hood and husband Bob and Randy Lamell and wife Linda. Lee had many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at North Branch Cemetery in Middlesex at 1:00pm on May 22nd with a reception to follow that will be announced.

His warmth, creativity and dedication to family will be profoundly missed but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
