It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lee Alvin Bennett, who left this world on January 19, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on August 29, 1949, in beautiful Monterey, California, he was the son of the late Albert and Betty Nordgreen Bennett.

Lee lived a life filled with the joys of nature and the outdoors. He will be remembered as a dedicated father, brother, and friend who found solace in hunting and fishing.

Lee was a self-employed man who embraced the freedom of his work and the tranquility of life in Pipestem, West Virginia. He truly appreciated the beauty that surrounded him in nature and cherished moments spent outdoors. He was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam era.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jan, as well as his brother Timothy John Bennett and sister Susan Diane Bennett.

He is survived by his three beloved sons, Lee Cooper Bennett, Shawn Bennett, and Shad Bennett, all of Maui, Hawaii; his daughter, Nicole Bennett; and his siblings, Mark Bennett of Springfield, Missouri, Matt Bennett of Covington, Georgia, Kathy Little of Pipestem, West Virginia, and Phyllis Jean Bruno-Bennett of Phoenix, Arizona. Lee also leaves behind five grandchildren and one step-grandchild who brought him endless joy and love.

Lee will be laid to rest at the Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri, a place that symbolizes his dedication to his family and country.
