Lee Ray Boedker, 47, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Our beloved brother “Ray” was born on September 13, 1975 to the late Connie L. Boedker and Frances L. Hatfield Boedker. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his step-mom, Rose “Jessie” Boedker.

Survivors include his brother, Timothy N. Cutrell and wife, Patricia Cutrell; two sisters, Sara A. Jackson Boedker and Connie F. Boedker Gibson; eight nieces; two nephews; many cousins, aunts, and uncles; his best friend, Carrol Copeland and wife, Kristy Copeland; and two work buddies, John Briggs and Curley.

Ray was mostly a roofer by trade, but would work wherever he could. He loved hunting, fishing, Washington Redskins Football, playing his guitar, enjoyed time with his dog “Merk”, and loved eating at Mexican restaurants. Ray pretty much kept to himself, but loved his family dearly. He had a personality of his own and a different vocabulary, however, Ray was loved by so many people.

We love and miss Ray so much! We know we will see him again one day!

A memorial service celebrating Ray’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the residence of his brother, Timothy N. Cutrell, 1108 Mohave Trail, Edenton, NC with Pastor Tom Gregory officiating.
