Lee Cassidy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson Funeral Homes - Lexington on Aug. 6, 2024.
With heavy hearts the Cassidy family announce the passing of their beloved father, brother, son, uncle and friend Melton Lee Cassidy. Lee's sudden passing comes with great surprise and sorrow as he peacefully passed in his hometown on August 2, 2024
Lee Cassidy predeceased by his parents Harvey Preston Cassidy and Melba Arant Cassidy. Survived by his loving children Brandon Lee Cassidy and Maegen Denise Cassidy, and his siblings Rachel Litton, Renee Seeby, Ellie Stone and Michele Waldner.
Lee Cassidy was born in West Columbia on April 5, 1956. As a child Lee was adventurous, outgoing, competitive and athletic. Growing up he discovered his love for sports. Lee played baseball and basketball as a child. After he graduated from Airport High School he went to Midlands Technical College where he obtained his associates degree and began working at Michelin as an industrial electrician. He was a hard-working dedicated man who never missed a day of work!
After his career began he started the most important journey of his life. He became father to two beautiful children. He spent his adulthood being a caring dependable father. Still maintaining his love for sports he continued to play baseball, golf and bowling. As time went on Lee fulfilled his 37 year career at Michelin where he would eventually retire at the age of 58.
After retirement Lee spent most of his days playing golf with friends. He loved driving his mustang and eating his Lizard's Thicket but his favorite pastime was being there for his children. Whether it was taekwondo or cosmetology he supported and stood behind them with unwavering support.
Lee was known to be stubborn, feared for his tickles and a lover of sweets, but most importantly he was known to be a family man. His devotion to his family and friends was unmatched.
Whether you're his son or daughter, sister or brother, niece or nephew, family or friend, grief is the price we pay for love. So with your grieving hearts remember that death may bring heartache that's hard to heal. However, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Always in our memories, forever in our hearts!
