Mr. Lee DuWayne Cramer, a proud veteran and beloved member of the Bossier City community, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Lee honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 23 years of distinguished service as an Aerial Gunner. A decorated veteran, he received numerous commendations for his dedication, and his years of service reflected his steadfast commitment to his country and to the men and women who served alongside him.
Beyond his military career, Lee lived life with the same determination and heart that defined his service. He loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Those who knew him best will remember his generous nature, independent spirit, stubborn streak, and kind heart. He was the type of man who would give without hesitation and stand firm for what he believed in.
Lee was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Esther Cramer, his parents; Russell and Clara Cramer, and his brother; Lorne Cramer.
He is survived by his daughter; Lou Ann Hodgson and her husband, John, his son; Kent Cramer and his wife, Kaye. Five grandchildren; Alec Hodgson (Sarah), Kate Steskal (Ben), Samantha Hodgson, Sydney Cramer and Makenzie Melnick. Three great-grandchildren; Calvin Hodgson, Clyde Hodgson and Violet Hodgson and one nephew; Don Cramer.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Will and Martha Williamson for their care and support for Lee over the past three months, when he needed it most. Their compassion and friendship meant the world to him and his family.
Funeral services celebrating Lee’s life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
