Lee Eric Denson

With deep sorrow and abiding love, we share that Lee Eric Denson of Friendswood, Texas, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday evening, September 16, 2025. Born at Hermann Hospital in Houston to Mark and Anita Denson, Lee filled every room with quick wit, brilliant curiosity, and a gentleness that made people feel seen and cared for.

Exceptionally bright and endlessly driven, Lee excelled from a young age. At Friendswood High he played tennis and won numerous academic awards and was a member of the National Technical Honor Society. He graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake with a B.S. in Computer Engineering (2013) and an M.S. in Computer Science (2014) and served as the IEEE Student Chapter President along the way. Professionally, Lee began as a SCADA/CRM Analyst at New Gen Automation before joining JPMorgan Chase in Houston, where through talent, grit, and teamwork rose to Vice President, Senior Software Engineer (Software Architect). Colleagues knew him as brilliant and reliable; friends knew him as hilarious, steadfast, and unbelievably kind.

Without question, the most important thing that ever happened to Lee was meeting the love of his life, Lindsay Gratzfeld, at Friendswood High School. They married on May 25, 2019, and lived a love story marked by devotion, laughter, and everyday grace. Their six years of marriage (and the years of constant, unwavering partnership before) were a living testament to choosing each other every single day. He and Lindsay were an inseparable, perfect match. Their bond was rare and radiant; the kind of love that defies explanation and made ordinary moments feel extraordinary. Lindsay was Lee's Life, and Lee was Lindsay's Heart.

Lee is lovingly survived by his wife, Lindsay Denson; his parents, Mark and Anita Denson; siblings Laura Hartlieb and Jason Gilbert and their families, in-laws Terry and Susan Gratzfeld, brother-in-law Kyle Gratzfeld and his family, and a wide circle of family and friends who adored him.

A service celebrating Lee's life will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Crowder Funeral Home Pearland, Texas. 2422 East Broadway Street Pearland, TX 77581. Visitation at 2:00 p.m., service at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and give thanks for a life that shone brightly and a love that endures.
