Lee A. Eakle, 74, of Leland, Illinois passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital in Huntley, Illinois. He was born September 12, 1950 in Grand Forks, North Dakota the son of Lemuel and Ru-Jean (Hughes) Eakle. He married Faylene M. Cline on April 15, 1986 in Cicero, Illinois. They were happily married for 35 years until her passing in 2021, Lee loved going fishing on his boat with many of his friends.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Omie Longmire of Leland, several nieces and nephews including Sherry Andavis and Ashley Andavis both of Leland, As well as many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Faylene, and one brother-in-law, Donnie Longmire, Sr.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, Illinois. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, Illinois.
