Lee Emery, passed away on February 26, 2026, shortly after celebrating his 65th birthday. Born
in Killeen, Texas, Lee lived a life defined by love, loyalty, hard work, and quiet strength. He
graduated from Ellison High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships and began
building the foundation for the hardworking life he would lead.
Lee began his career at Winn-Dixie, where he quickly became known for his dedication and
strong work ethic — he never missed a day of work. It was there that he met the love of his
life, Dixi. One day she brought him chocolate chip cookies, and from that simple, sweet
gesture, a beautiful 40-year marriage began. Together they built a life rooted in commitment,
partnership, and unwavering devotion. That same dedication carried him throughout
his career. He recently celebrated his 25th anniversary with Walmart, where he served as
a respected store manager. Lee took great pride in his work and led by example, earning
the trust and respect of his coworkers and employees through fairness, consistency, and
integrity.
Lee was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He was a proud father to his two sons,
Brandon and Blake, who were the center of his world. He taught them the value of hard work,
responsibility, and treating people the right way — lessons he demonstrated every day. His
family meant everything to him, and he showed his love not only through words, but through his
steady presence, patience, and unwavering support.
He found joy in spending time at the lake and hiking in the beautiful mountains of Colorado
with his dogs and family. The outdoors was one of his favorite places to be, where laughter was
shared and lifelong memories were made. There was only one Lee. He was irreplaceable,
unforgettable and deeply loved by all who knew him.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Emery. He is survived by his wife, Dixi Emery; his sons,
Brandon and Blake Emery; his mother, Rozanne Emery, his sister, Karen Hawley
(Randy); his brother, Ken Emery (Mia); and his 4 nephews and nieces. He leaves behind a
legacy of love, integrity, and compassion that will continue through his family for generations
to come.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children’s Miracle Network.
