Lee Mac Gotcher, 89, life-long resident of Ford City, Alabama passed away, July 3rd, 2024. He was preceded by his wife, Joan Trousdale Gotcher, parents, Will Gotcher and Annie Lee Carter Gotcher; brothers, John Carter Gotcher and Billy Gotcher, and sister, Mary Ann Gotcher McCoy. He is survived by his daughter, Susette Hallmark (Philip), his sister-in-law, Peggie Trousdale; his grandchildren, Lindsey Posey Hudson (Nick), and Cody Posey (Kara Myhan); his great grandchildren, Mackenna and Colin Hudson and Graham and Everett Posey.
Mr. Gotcher was a hobby farmer and retired from Reynolds Metals Company. He enjoyed raising a big garden and cooking barbeque and chicken stew which he shared with friends and family. He was a lifelong member of the Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Cody Posey, Nick Hudson, Josh Andrews, Jackie Gargis, Billy Hudson, and Paul Tolbert. Honorary pallbearers: Herby Hayes, Gordon Green, Ronnie Gargis, and Ricky Hannah.
There will be a visitation from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Coy Hallmark will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St Jude Children's Hospital.

Lee Mac was always a very helpful person. I first met him when he traveled with Nancy's Tours and he handled the baggage on the trip. I was the youngest one on the trip. We traveled up the New England coast and saw beautiful scenery along the way. He loved his family and gardening.
