Lee Allen Johnson, age 71, passed away February 17, 2026 at his home. Lee was born September 7, 1954 to the late Lyle and Arline Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah Johnson.
Lee was a man who loved guns and had an impressive knowledge of them. Hunting was also a hobby he loved very much. You could often find him riding his motorcycle down an open road or exploring trails in his side-by-side, always chasing fresh air and freedom. He had a deep love for his animals and cared for them faithfully. His garden was another source of pride, where he worked with patience and care. Recently, he discovered a new joy in cooking. He embraced it the same way he did everything else — wholeheartedly — always eager to try something new and share a meal with those he cared about.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 35 years, Phyllis Johnson; daughters, Michelle Peplinski (Edward), Jennifer Bidding (Nick); sister, Nancy Taussig; brothers, Kenneth Johnson, William H. Johnson, Thomas Johnson; grandchildren, Emily Peplinski, Benjamin Bidding, Kyle Christian; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
