Lee Littmann Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 15, 2024.
Waunakee - Lee Allen Littmann went to be with the Lord Saturday April 6, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 74. He was survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Lloyd Arnold, his nieces and their families, Lindsey (Jared) Koerten, Elise and Luke Koerten, and Kristin (Cameron) Studer and Nora Studer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Donald Littmann.

Lee was born on August 3, 1949 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lois and Donald Littmann. He graduated from Washington High School in 1967 excelling in all sports, playing varsity football as a talented linebacker, fullback, and captain of his team as well as varsity wrestling. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1971 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in American Industry and Safety Education.

Lee traveled to Misawa Air Force base in Japan to coordinate high school vocational programs and teach auto mechanics, industrial arts, and coach wrestling, receiving the teacher of the year award. While in Japan he earned his Master's degree in counseling from the University of Southern California. Lee was passionate about traveling in Asia and loved Japanese culture, becoming a collector of local artwork.

After retiring from teaching, Lee moved to Stevens Point, Wisconsin to be close to family. He loved volunteering in singing groups and playing bingo and card games with friends. He retained a love for cooking Asian foods that reminded him of his time in Japan. He was also an avid sports fan, closely following the Green Bay Packers and discussing prospects for the team each year.

A private interment service will be held in Lee's honor at a later date at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

Lee's family sincerely appreciates the compassionate health caregivers at Brookdale Assisted Senior Living Community in Stevens Point and Waunakee Valley Senior Living in Waunakee.

We will always carry Lee's memory in our hearts.
