Visitation Wednesday, August 6, 2025 10 am - 12 Noon Veal Memorial Funeral Home Guin, AL Service Wednesday, August 6, 2025 12 Noon Veal Memorial Funeral Home - Chapel Guin, AL Burial Beaver Creek Cemetery Beaverton, AL Lee Andrew Carroll McGuire was born to Katie Lee McGuire and Price Hubbard on February 23, 1957 in Franklin County, Alabama. He was reared in the home of his mother, her parents (Robert Lee and Mary Ludie McGuire) along with his maternal siblings Randy and Mary Ray. Often protective of his younger siblings (and annoyed by them) as they were born during his mother's marriage to Richard Ray. After all of these years he still would state, sometimes with laughter, that he did not appreciate the loss of his status as the only child with Randy's and then Mary's birth. Lee attended school in the Franklin County School System (Rocky Glenn) and the Russellville City School System. Lee enjoyed working jobs that allowed him to "tinker, fix, repair" machinery and anything with a motor or moving parts. He was employed at Gateway Homes for 20 years, Southridge/Greenwood Homes for 8 years, Winfield Tool and Equipment for 15 years, and Clayton Supply for 5 years where he remained until his heath failed. Lee, being a shy person, found great pleasure in fishing and other solitary activities that provided solitude. Lee originally moved to Marion County for employment opportunities but soon met the love of his life, Arzealer Madison, whom he married. He was welcomed into her family and together they made a home. Their 45th wedding anniversary would have been August 29, 2025. This union produced Lee's pride and joy, a baby boy, Lee Jovan McGuire, and later grandchildren, Dayson ("tractor buddy") and Makenna McGuire who were his "babies." Lee departed this life on July 31, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones after a yearlong battle with cancer. Lee is survived by his wife Arzealer McGuire, son Jovan McGuire (Breanna), grandson Dayson McGuire, granddaughter MaKenna McGuire, great nephew Kylin, great niece Jaylin, Guin, AL; brother Randy Ray (Sheila), sister Mary Hamilton (Bobby), aunt, Hattie McGuire (Andrew-deceased), Russellville, AL; sister-in-law Terri Lipsey(James-deceased), brother-in-law Jeffery Madison (Angelean-deceased), Willie Madison, and Lomax Swanigan (Michelle-deceased), Guin, AL. Lee is also survived by his paternal siblings whom he met as an adult and who enriched his life greatly. His sisters are Janet Lewis, Detroit, MI; Blaake Edwards, Raleigh, NC; Priscilla Hubbard, and his brothers Price Hubbard Jr., Reggie Hubbard, Kevin Hubbard, Michael Hubbard, and Chris Hubbard, Houston, TX. Lee will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lee is predeceased by his cherished grandparents, stepfather, father, mother, mother-in-law Annice Madison, brother Anthony Hubbard, and uncle, Carroll McGuire (Lucille). Services held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 12 Noon from the Veal Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Beaver Creek Cemetery. Veal Memorial Funeral Home of Guin, AL directing.
