Thoughts from his children: Today daddy went home to be with his Lord. We are truly going to miss him but we know he's in a better place. While on this earth he spent a lifetime doing what he loved most, being in the woods up on these ol mountains cutting timber and logging. He was fortunate enough to be able to do it from the east coast to the west coast, places that were so beautiful some can only imagine. Coming from a big family they grew up farming and sawmilling, learning many life lessons. He often talked of his mom and dad, brothers and his only sister and the times they had. Today he is with the ones who have gone on before him. He spoke often of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and how he loved them and was so very proud of them. As the days and years go on, we can look back on all the memories and cherish them dearly knowing one day we will be reunited.
