Lee Schoenmann Obituary

Lee Hale Schoenmann, 17, of Keystone, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. A celebration of Lee's life will be held beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Keystone Turner Hall. A service of remembrance will be held at 5 p.m. with Justin Bierschenk officiating. Visitation will continue following the service. Lee was born on June 29, 2005, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Lonnie and Dana (Seeck) Schoenmann. Lee was a senior at Benton Community High School. He was his grandpas' right-hand man. Lee loved farming, as well as his dog, Sally, and mule, Wendy. He enjoyed hunting, trail riding, and spending time with his extensive group of friends in the "Red Neck Mafia." He was proud of his mullet and enjoyed 4-wheel drive pickups. Lee was a young man with a heart of gold and was truly a gentle giant. He is survived by his parents, Lonnie and Dana Schoenmann; his sister, Larissa; maternal grandparents, Dale and Jennie Seeck of Keystone; paternal grandparents, Lynn and Peggy Schoenmann of Belle Plaine; aunts and uncles, Derrick Seeck, Dwayne (Devan) Seeck, Tammy (Ron) Motley and Jolynn (Don) Skalsky; and his cousins, Avery King, Delaney Seeck, Brynnlee, Hudson, Corden and Bristol Seeck, Joann (Steve) Linvell, Donnie Skalsky, and Madison Motley. He was preceded in death by his mule, Mouse. Online condolences www.phillipsfuneralhomes.com.
