Lee Stewart Obituary

Published by Macy Allnutt Funeral Service-Eaton Chapel on Sep. 17, 2010.
Lee Stewart, Loveland Colorado – Emma Lee Stewart, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 17, 2010, in Keystone, Colorado. Born in Vona, Colorado on July 7th, 1931, Mrs. Stewart was the daughter of David and Ruth Maag Seaman. Growing up in the farmland east of Greeley, she graduated from Greeley High School, and lived with her husband of 40 years, Jim Stewart, in LaSalle, Greeley, Ault and Loveland. Lee is survived by her children, Dennis Stewart of Mabank, TX, Barbara Shumate of Houston, TX and Dr. Keith Stewart of Cleburne, TX. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Maag Seaman, 98, of Ft. Collins. She is also survived by grandchildren Jennifer, Denise, Leah, Julie, Betsy, Amber, Adam, Taylor, Tessa, Hannah and Benjamin, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Irene Noyes of Evans, Iris Douglass of Denver, Dwayne Seaman of Greeley, Bob Seaman of Castle Rock and a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Stewart of Loveland, her father David Franklin Seaman, brother David Wayne Seaman, and sister Bonnie Seaman. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Her Christian walk drove her to serve others according to the skills and gifts God had given her. Lee was always known as a generous host, and loved having others in her home for a hearty meal. Lee was certified by the Larimer County Extension Service as a Master Food Preparer and a Master Gardener. Following her husband, Jim's, death, Lee became involved in the Colorado Association of Hospital Auxilians and Volunteers (CAHAV), and was honored for the massive volume of hours logged in volunteering at Loveland's McKee Medical Center. She worked in the hospital gift shop and thrift store, and she frequently served as a food judge in the Larimer county fair. She served her way upward in CAHAV to the position of president this past year. Lee delivered her final address to the CAHAV convention this past week as the Outgoing President of CAHAV. Arrangements are under the direction of Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland, where the visitation, viewing and service will be conducted. Family visitation and viewing will be Tuesday, September 21, 2010, from 4-6 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley.
