Lee Lois Summers was the third child born to the Late George Summers & the Late Lurena "Beck" Duvall Summers. She was born June 17, 1941, in Austin, Texas, at the Holy Cross Hospital. Lee Lois attended school in Itasca, TX, Needville, TX, and the Booker T. Washington School in Elgin, TX. Lee Lois joined a church in Needville and was baptized in 1953. In 1955, she united with Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A.H. Brown, later, Pastor Q.S. Goins, and present Pastor Byron K. Green. She was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church for 70 years.
Lee Lois' hobbies were putting together puzzles, working puzzle books, watching television, growing and taking care of plants, and spending time with family. Lee Lois worked for Austin State School and retired after 25 years. She also worked part-time for a few years at Golden Years Retirement Nursing Home in Elgin.
Lee Lois is preceded in death by her Parents, George & Lurena Summers; Brother, Mack Henry Summers Sr.; Brother-in-law, J.C. Williams Sr.; Sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Summers; nieces, Dorisie Lean Summers, Charlie Mae Summers; One infant nephew; Two infant nieces.
Lee Lois leaves to cherish her memories: One Sister, Juanita Williams; Four Nephews, Mack Henry Summers Jr., (Tammy), J.C. Williams Jr. (Kim), Michael Williams, Ervin Williams (Ida); Two Nieces, Weddie Summers, Elsie Williams. Lee Lois also leaves a host of great and great-great-nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
