Bobby (Bob) Ridings , a United States Army veteran, accomplished musician, and beloved uncle, cousin, and friend passed away on January 20, 2026 . He was the son of Daniel Ridings and Narra Ridings , both of whom preceded him in death. He was one of four children born to Daniel and Narra. Bob's brother, Roger Ridings, and sisters Geraldine Rideout and Anna Kirkland preceded him in death. Bob is survived by his cousin, Margie Mae Matetzschk; His niece Mary Frisce, who was with him in his final hours; special friends Jim and Brenda Sharp; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bob was born in Elgin, Texas , on November 2, 1934. Bob loved cooking, boating, and was a car enthusiast. He had unwavering love for his family, especially his parents, and was always concerned with being sure they had what they needed.

If you had the privilege of knowing him, you respected him and his sense of style and love for shopping. He always loved a good suit, a good haircut and shave, Aramis cologne, and a pretty car. These marks of class served him well professionally all his life. He had successfull careers with Montgomery Wards, Sears and the San Antonio Express.
