Lee Van Roekel, 54, of Sioux Center, Iowa, died Saturday, November 9, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, November 15 at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center with Rev. Jesse Henkle officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at Memorial Funeral Home.
Lee Van Roekel was born November 8, 1970, to Lyle and Diane (Huisman) Van Roekel in Sioux Center, Iowa. Lee attended Sioux Center Community School graduating in 1989. He continued his education at Mississippi State University where he graduated in 1993 with a degree in Business Administration.
Lee dedicated much of his adult life to being a golf professional in Chicago, IL, and Jupiter, FL. He was passionate about golf and loved teaching others the game. In addition to golf, Lee enjoyed hunting and appreciating the beauty of God's creation. He was a member of Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center, IA.
Lee is survived by his two sons: Michael and Preston Van Roekel of Northbrook, IL; his father, Lyle Van Roekel of Sioux Center; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Chad and Kathleen Van Roekel of Harrisburg, MO and Mark and Rebecca Van Roekel of Dardenne Prairie, MO as well as uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Van Roekel and his grandparents.
