LEE ARTHUR WATKINS

Lee Arthur Watkins, known affectionately as JR, passed away on December 30, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories of his infectious laughter and beaming smile that could light up any room. He was born on January 30, 1989, in Dallas, Texas to his loving parents Lee Arthur Watkins Sr. and Sharon Cummings.

JR's journey of life was marked by his dedication and service to others. He worked for Presbyterian Hospital, where he tirelessly served the community with compassion and care. His commitment to his work was truly admirable and touched the lives of many.

JR had an insatiable love for learning and achieved great accomplishments throughout his life. He proudly earned his high school diploma from South Garland High School and obtaining his Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)l license. His dedication to continuous growth and learning was a testament to his determination and drive.

Beyond his professional achievements, JR will also be remembered for the joy he found in everyday moments. Cooking and making desserts brought him immense delight, as he loved exploring new flavors and sharing homemade treats with family and friends. He found solace and happiness in spending quality time with loved ones, cherishing every precious moment together.

In honoring JR's life, a viewing will take place on January 12, 2024, at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas in Dallas, Texas. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by JR are invited to pay their respects from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held on January 13, 2024, at Tabernacle of Deliverance in Dallas, Texas at 11:00 AM. The service will serve as a reflection of JR's vibrant spirit and the impact he made during his time with us. Family members, friends, and all those who wish to celebrate JR's life are cordially invited to attend.

JR's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his mother Sharon Cummings, his sisters Lakeisha Watkins and Shamayia Coleman, as well as his three beloved nieces and one nephew. His memory will also be cherished by a host of cousins, uncles, aunts, and dear friends.

JR will forever be remembered for the love, joy, and laughter he brought into the lives of all those who knew him. His warm presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. As we gather to mourn his loss and celebrate his life, let us hold onto the memories that will keep him alive in our hearts.
