Lefa Dell Smith

Lefa Dell Poling Smith, age 71, of Kimberly Lane, Clearfield, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at her residence after an extended illness.
Born September 16, 1951, in Wendall, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Wilbert Poling and Geneva Marie McCauley Poling. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Smith; a son, Lemuel Arthur McKee, Jr.; a son-in-law, Damon Long; two brothers, Johnny Poling and Scotty Steven Poling; and three sisters, Helen Martino, Kathleen Lipscomb, and Georgie Poling.
Lefa is survived by four daughters, Marie McKee Cooper (Ray) of Campbellsville, Tina Brumagen (Boone) of Wellsville, Pennsylvania, Christina McClain of Morehead, and Crystal Long of Clearfield; 11 grandchildren, Amber White, Kegan Brumagen, Breanna Cooper, Paige Brumagen, Caleb Cooper, Xavier Long, Alexa Hanlon, Ciaran Brumagen, Caolan Brumagen, Isis McKinney, and Torin Long; and eight great grandchildren.
Other survivors include two brothers, Garris Poling (Eva) of Terra Alta, West Virginia, and Rob Kaposy of Swanton, Ohio; one sister, Lula McNeil of Liberty Center, Ohio; father of her children, Clarence McClain; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Lefa was a homemaker and a former housekeeper for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, making crafts, and was an avid quilter.
A memorial service will be conducted 5 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
Private burial will be held at a later date.
