Leighton Riddle

Albert Leighton Riddle, 88, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Born on December 30, 1936, to Louis and Louella Johnson Riddle. He retired from banking as an Executive Vice-President from United Bank & Trust Co. in Versailles, KY. He also served on the United Bank Board of Directors from 1986 – 2006. He was a member of the Midway Christian Church and served as a deacon for many years.
He is survived by his wife Julia Marlene Riddle of 61 years and two sons, Leighton Riddle II (Leslie) and Christopher (Cassidy) Riddle, his sisters, Linda (Jerry) Lynn of Stamping Ground and Carolyn Guill of Georgetown, as well as his grandchildren, Ashleigh, Ryan (Ashley), Brittany (Ariel), Beau, Johnny, Kristian, Meghan (Chris), Azalea & Margo, and his great-grandchildren, Aiden, Remington, Everest, Ruby & Titus, a family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Neville L. and John W. Riddle, a sister, Elaine F. Riddle, a brother-in-law, Cecil Guill, a niece, Brenda Jones and a nephew, L. "Pete" Riddle.
Funeral services will be at Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown on Friday, November 7, 2025, with Visitation at 11:00 am and Funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow in the City of Midway Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandson Ryan, and his nephews, Jerry Lee, Randy, Greg Lynn, Stephen Guill, and Michael Riddle. Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces Beth Bailey, Sharon Gould, and Kathy Siples, and Ben T. Calvert, Joe Hoffman, & James Rouse.
