Wayne Lewis Power

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Wayne Lewis Power went to be with his Lord. He was born March 21,1943 to Russell and Rose Mullikin Power. He is survived by his devoted wife Mary Bullock Power; two loving daughters, Teresa Kelley (Vaughn) and Karen Burford (Donnie); six grandchildren, Kevin Day (Briana), Kati Penn (Heather), Wesley Day (Delana), Emily Goodrich (Colton), Abby King, and Megan Kelley; 13 great-grandchildren, Destanee, Renee, Audrianna, Annalise, Amber, Rylan, Brooklin, Raelynn, Caden, Freya, Mia, Ava, and Piper; 2 sisters-in-law, Bonnie Jean Power and Chequita Power, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings.
He was a faithful member and deacon at Heritage Baptist Church in Lexington. He retired from IBM and had a second career at True Value Hardware in Eastland for 17 years. He lived a life of devotion to his wife, family, and his Lord. His greatest desire was to see his friends and family trust Jesus as their Savior. He leaves a tremendous legacy of faithfulness.
Funeral services will be at Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown on Tuesday, November 4 with visitation at 10:30 and funeral services at 1:00. Services will be conducted by Bro. Donnie Burford and Bro. Ron Cook. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Akers officiating the graveside service.
