Leilani Dinara Dior Piatt, a radiant star whose light shone brightly for just a fleeting moment, was born on August 27, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio. She captured the hearts of all who met her, bringing joy into the world with her very presence. Tragically, her journey was all too brief, as she departed from us on September 1, 2024 in her beloved hometown of Dayton.
In her precious days, Leilani was surrounded by a loving family who cherished her deeply. Her parents, Jamie Hoffman and Kevin Piatt Jr., greeted each day with hope and excitement, embracing the miracle of her life. Her spirited brother, Mikey Piatt, held a special bond with her, filled with the magic only siblings can know.
Leilani was dearly loved by her grandparents, Kristen Hoffman, Kevin Piatt Sr., and Erica Adkins-Piatt, who enveloped her in a warm embrace, imparting wisdom and affection that only generations can share. The joyful spirit of her great-grandparents, Kevin Piatt, John Hoffman, and Dinara Hoffman added yet another layer of love to her brief life. She was preceded in death by her Mamaw Ducky and Mamaw Faber.
The legacy of family continued with her aunts, Leslie Maye-Smallwood, Maddy Piatt, Kaylei Walters, and Daphne McQuade, who delighted in being part of her journey, while her uncles, Joshua Hoffman, Christopher Wilson, Dakota Smallwood, and Cody Grove brought laughter and strength into her days. She leaves behind numerous cousins who admired her innocence and brought levity into her short time with us.
Though Leilani’s life was but a whisper in the grand tapestry of existence, the love she inspired will echo in the hearts of those she touched. Each moment with her is a reminder of the love that binds families and the beauty found within. In her wake, she leaves a family united in their sorrow, yet grateful for the balm of shared memories and the indelible marks she left on their hearts.
As they walk through this challenging time, they hold on to the warmth of her spirit, knowing that she is forever woven into the fabric of their lives. Leilani Dinara Dior Piatt may have journeyed on, but the love she embodied will remain a guiding light for her family, illuminating their paths with tender memories and the unbreakable bonds that define their existence together.
