Leisa A. SMITH, 72, of Wellsville, NY, died Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Jones Memorial Hospital. She was born August 5, 1952, in Coudersport, PA, the daughter of the late Lawrence H. and Frederika E. (Henry) Smith.
A graduate of Northern Potter High School, she continued her education at Alfred State College. Leisa oversaw kitchens at North Hill Campground and the Whitesville and Wellsville Legions, she also bartended at various establishments and catered on her own; retiring from ACES at Alfred State College. Leisa was a member of the Wellsville Country Club where she enjoyed to golf, she also was an avid bowler. She was an active member of the Wellsville Unit 702 American Legion Auxiliary and the Wellsville Legion Honor Guard.
Surviving are: two brothers, James Smith of Whitesville and William (Linda) Smith of Spring Hill, FL; a sister, Joyce (Joe) Fisher of Chambersburg, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her grandparents.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 6 – 8 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home of Wellsville, 34 West State Street. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11 am in Ulysses Cemetery, Ulysses, PA; with luncheon to follow at the Wellsville American Legion will follow.
