Lela worked in my home once a week with me and my family. She was an incredible person with a driving force of compassion and justice. Lela always focused on the mental wellbeing of my oldest son, who just turned 13, and was a great support for him as they easily bonded over being at opposite ends of Gen Z and their love of Hamilton. Lela made an impact on my family, from my 2 year old baby boy who she would play with while I filled out paperwork or made phone calls, toy 6 year old daughter who cried when she heard the news today, my 13 year old, my partner and myself. She was definitely a source of light in an often dark world and she will be truly missed. Rest easy, you sweet, tough, incredible girl And thank you for so much.
