Lela Haley Obituary
She was a member of Life Line Baptist Church for over fifty years, and taught Sunday School for over thirty years. She was retired from Teletype.
Mrs. Haley is survived by four daughters, Beth Reynolds of Judsonia, Carol Smith of Cabot, Sue Murphree of Little Rock, and Jean Buffalo of Jacksonville; one son, Buddy Haley of Cabot; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leon Tubbs of Hamburg, and William Tubbs of Little Rock; one sister, Louise Cannon of New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Life Line Baptist Church, with Mrs. Haley’s son-in-law, Marvin Reynolds, her pastor, Dr. Don Chancellor, and her former pastor, Gerald Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock (501-661-9111).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life Line Baptist Church Library, 7601 Baseline Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209, or to the American Cancer Society, 901 North University, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.
