Leland L. Lynds

LITTLETON, Maine – Leland L. Lynds, 76, of Littleton, passed away in Houlton on March 28, 2025. He was born November 7, 1948, in Houlton, the son of Harold L. and Mabel A. (Stearns) Lynds Drost.
Leland attended Houlton High School and graduated in the class of 1967. Following graduation, he served in the Vietnam War after being drafted into the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge, he worked as a tractor-trailer truck driver. He later spent 34-years as a mechanic with Bridge Construction, retiring as a foreman. Leland enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He loved his family and talking about the past. After retiring and moving home, Lee always had time for coffee and a chat. He was kind and loyal to anyone who treated him equally. He had a special bond with his niece, Jen, since she was a little girl. He was incredibly close to nephews Tristen and Skyler.
He is survived by his mother, Mabel Lynds Drost of Littleton, his brother Randy, and his wife, Kallie Lynds of Littleton. One sister-in-law, Wendy Lynds, also of Littleton. He also leaves ten nieces and nephews and their spouses, Dr. Jeffrey Lynds (Jennifer), Jen Lynds (Daniel Dobbs), Kristen Theriault (Rick), Chelsea Lynds and her daughter Ryan, Darcie Ingraham (Randy), Skyler Campbell, Tristen Lynds, Chris Lynds, Donald Price Jr., and Paula Lambert.
He was predeceased by his father, Harold, one brother, Jerre Lynds, and one sister Darlene (Lynds) Price.
