Lemuel Donald Green, born on October 26, 1943, in Morristown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Franklin, Tennessee. He leaves behind a legacy deeply rooted in family values and cherished memories that will forever resonate with those who knew him.
Don was the son of Lemuel and Helen Green, who instilled in him a strong sense of compassion and dedication to family. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Goodman Green, and his brother, Denver "Buddy" Green. The love and guidance he received from his parents and the companionship he shared with his wife formed the foundation of his character and the principles he lived by.
Don’s commitment to family was unwavering. He is survived by his sons, Scott (Gerri) Green, Bryan (Dana) Green, and Christopher (Theresa) Green, and his daughter, Shana Hoy (Dennis). He also leaves behind his sister, Grace Anna Sine, who treasured their bond throughout their lives. As a proud grandfather, he is remembered fondly by his grandchildren Carly Pewitt, Taylor (Kelsey) Green, Colby, Tanner, Jaxon (Ashleigh) Green, Emersyn, and Drake Dyer, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with his love and guidance.
Don was the Vice President of Management information services at Ryder Financial moving to a freelance management information services consulting until retirement.
Don’s life will be celebrated during a celebration of life service at 2:00PM on September 10, 2025, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Franklin, Tennessee, visitation will be one hour prior.
